In spite of its success, classical cancer therapy, i.e. surgery, chemo and radiation therapy, has not yielded any resounding results so far. A new therapeutic approach showing early success has emerged as a scientifically innovative fourth option in the battle against cancer: using the body’s own natural defense process, the immune system. Currently it is still not possible to cure cancer and the side effects of current therapies are enormous. A sustainable cure will only be possible if the body’s own cancer fighting mechanisms are mobilized.
Cellular immunotherapy helps the body to do so and is consequently a logical addition to classical cancer therapy. Cellular immunotherapy hardly has any side effects and therefore provides a significant improvement of the patient’s quality of life
Essential advantages of individual immunotherapy:
Based on its long lasting research CELLMED and its subsidiary LIFE RESEARCH Technologies GmbH have developed a product that may exceed all other oncological immunotherapies with regard to its mode of action and spectrum of activity.
This product by the brand name PROCURE® has been registered for patent. PROCURE® should induce both a short-term (cytotoxic) as well as a long-term (humoral) immune response. Moreover, it is effective for all types of solid cancer tumors.

MODE OF ACTION OF DENDRITIC CELL IMMUNOTHERAPY
Dendritic cells are immune system cells with the capacity for antigen processing and antigen presentation of previously indentified alien structures. In healthy people the immune system not only provides protection against bacteria and viruses but also against cancer cells.
In case of the occurrence of cancer cells, the immune system is activated by dendritic cells and the body’s own defense system starts to fight against the hostile cells. During immunotherapy autologous dendritic cells are introduced to the body in order to activate and support its own mechanism to fight cancer.

The starting point for the therapy is the harvesting of dendritic precursor cells from the patients peripheral blood. This process is performed using a special cell harvesting device that is already in use as a standard method in medicine. After that the cells are transported to the manufacturing lab, where the dendritic cells are produced, majored and loaded.
The vaccines are deep frozen in special air reservoir containers and sent back to the study site to be injected into the patient at therapeutically appropriate intervals.
